“Dolores” was originally written by César Peñalver, and later edited and re-arranged by Roberto DeBourg. Roberto’s adaptation took the song from pure “Sangueo” to a Sangueo-Pop fusion. The original effort for “Dolores” was started in the early 2000’s in Valencia, Venezuela and consists of contributions from Songwriter, Cesar Peñalver; Grammy Nominee Engineer and Guitarist, Miguel Peña; Bassist, Leonardo Rodriguez; Percussionist, Rafael Rodriguez; Cuatro and Backing Vocalist, Luis Negrin; Backing Vocalist, Maria Elena Millan; and Roberto DeBourg as the lead vocalist. The song was never released with this arrangement. In 2013, Roberto DeBourg worked with music prodigy, Joe Cosas, to properly copyright the project. In 2014, Roberto went into the studio to track what would be the current version of “Dolores.” Oswaldo Rodriguez recorded drums and percussion. Jalon King tracked the bass. Singer/Songwriter, Jeff Clark, and Guitar Virtuoso, Shaun Hopper, provided electric guitars; while Roberto recorded vocals, guitars, piano, and also inspired, produced and mixed.
