Andreas Schuld is of German decent, and lives in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. He and Sharon played the Northwestern blues, country and folk circuits in the 80's, and Andreas has become renowned for his inspired playing and producing. This song originated as the song "Raina" back then, and Andreas got to playing around with it after he produced the vocal version, unveiling this gorgeous Spanish-guitar styled instrumental rendition. If you want to see one of Andreas's peak blues performances of those days, Sharon has put out a youtube video of "Johnny Flamingo and the Continental Ride" featuring a live set at the Sidetrack Café, with his searing authentic blues stylings in full force.
