简介
"""Shake The Walls"" is the strongest and hardest-rocking album yet from Marcus Bonfanti. A huge vocal and guitar talent, with songs that come straight from the soul and who many critics are claiming to be at the very forefront of the new generation of British blues-influenced music. Bonfanti is a Londoner of Anglo-Italian parentage. He studied briefly at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts but earned his stripes on the road, both as a one-man band and as a team player touring the world with different artists. Asked how he got into the blues, Bonfanti replies ""I've always been into classic songwriting like The Beatles and a wide range of artists, but it was Led Zeppelin that made me really want to pick up the guitar when I was 16 years old. Tracking back where Zep came from got me into the blues"". His 2008 debut album 'Hard Times' set the scene and sent some subtly effective messages about a new British voice demanding to be heard. 2010's 'What Good Am I To You' (listed in Classic Rock Magazine's top 50 albums of 2010 and the single 'Give Me Your Cash' in the top 40 songs of 2010) made good on all those promises. The critical acclaim that both albums received earned him the 2012 British Blues Award for Best Songwriter. ""Shake The Walls"" was produced and engineered by Dave Williams at The Grange Studios in Norfolk. It was tracked to analogue tape with the band live on the floor and without the use of any digital (slow) tools. Marcus and his band of Scott Wiber (Bass) and Alex Reeves (Drums) have been together for some years and with near-telepathic communication they laid down the tightest of rock-solid tracks. Paddy Milner (Hammond) joined them for three of the songs on the album. In support of the new album Marcus will be touring the UK in the summer."
