Ian James wrote Human Casualty to kick off the next album (under the same name, due out in 2013). The single is the first song on the upcoming 14 song album. The track is built around a hypnotic guitar pattern ala Silver Sun Pickups and meshed with a vocal delivery similar to Robert Smith of the Cure. Lyrically the theme was loosely based on the ongoing struggles in the country of Syria, but also touches on a modern society who finds entertainment in watching other people fail (reality TV).
