The CD “El Silencio del Agua” (The Silence of Water) is a six piece suite that invites us on a spiritual journey in search of the primordial - the sacred in human nature. It is a call for introspection, on a quest for essential being - our connection with nature, with the cosmos. It was inspired by water, a principal element for the existence of life in our planet.

Pedro Crump is born in Bogotá Colombia in 1959. In 1979 he begins college studies in Boston. At Curry College he finishes a BA in Fine Arts and Music with a Minor in Philosophy. Then he continues his studies first in contemporary composition in New England Conservatory of Music, and then in jazz harmony, arranging and composition at Berklee College of Music. He comes back to his native Colombia in 1984 where he meets Beatrix a half French half Colombian architect and interior designer with whom he marries. Diana and Nina are born. In 1993 he travels to Paris with Beatrix and the girls. There, he pursues another one of his interests in the arts; he joins an atelier of sculpture where he is mentored by Suisse sculptor Paul Flury. In Paris he also works at a radio station Called Radio Latina where he becomes interested in music production. In 1996, back in Colombia he starts working on the idea of creating a music production business. It takes time before he can independently produce his first CD. In 2006 after a few years of work on this project, “El Silencio del Agua” is published. Today Crump has created his record label MusicaOceanica. He is also interested in including creative production in sculpture, installation, video, photography, sound etc. as a larger project he calls ProyectoOceanica.
