a. This song is the third collaboration project for the non-profit Warrior Songs "Veterans Story to Song" project. The song started as a poem/song written by Army Veteran Kevin Bauer. Warrior Songs founder Jason Moon then set that poem to music with a few lyrical changes and additions. Kevin Bauer and Moonshine created the final arrangement and recorded the song at Rock Garden studio's in Appleton, WI. Marc Golde was the studio engineer and added the lead guitar.
