My story isn't one of luck, but of persistence. I started listening to my favorite artist Owl City in 2008, with the release of 'Maybe I'm Dreaming' and was entirely inspired. It really made me want to pursue the hobby of music making. There was one issue; there aren't any directions or tutorials for Electronic music production. In 2010, I used my recently purchased iPad and GarageBand software to make music. After some tinkering, I still couldn't make it work, and called it a lost cause. One day in 2012 I had the motivation to pick up my iPad and I took a day to create my first song 'Sky Lights'. This track was predominantly of baroque pop and electro style, including a few classical instruments. With positive reviews and a music video to match, I called it a success. My second song, 'Jarvis', led me into more synth heavy music and 'Aurora' was created with dubstep influence. 'Eclipse' was a dark synth heavy song soon created after. In July 2014, the name of my project was changed from "EmeraldCityAir" to "Volar". Following the name change, the track '13:37' was announced and featured an ambient-dub polish. 'Vendetta (feat. World One)' was released Halloween night 2014. 'Ataraxia' was released as the first single of 2015 on March 26th. The track bears a minimal/glitch/indietronica influence as well as downtempo.
