简介

Since releasing his debut album "Mnemosyne's Lounge" in 1999 James Bradford has been hopping genres, coasts and vibes, stirring up the indie musical scene with his intensely confessional, lyrically driven music. Now for the first time in a digital exclusive release you can download his entire back catalog in "AyeAyeAyeTunes Exclusive: The Collected Works", a musical set that includes everything from "Lounge" through to the fans-exclusive limited edition 2007 E.P. "The August EP". First working with well known dance and house music producer Morel, James recorded the dance, hard-house and electronica infused "Mnemosyne's Lounge" when he was just 19 years old. Cutting edge at the time, Morel's beats and loops bring out the raw emotion in James' lyrics in songs like "Kissable," a trance-hop track about the lament of a love that never was. "Lounge" also includes "Relationship Destruction Machine", an up-tempo house anthem about sexual lust that was included on the 2000 compilation album "DCide: the 40"; and almost 10 years later, both songs were scooped up for the soundtrack to the T.V. series "Dante's Cove". Lounge also features the original version of "Bayou Refueling Station" which James would go on to make popular after performing it on the 2005 T.V. show "Can't Get a Date'. After the popularity of "Machine," the 2000 single for the track was released. Included are a heavy metal remix by New York City based Hypofixx and a gothic salsa remix by British remixer Sitorimon; both of these mixes were also featured on the program "Dante's Cove". The single also features a stripped down remix of "Kissable". Taking a break from recording to perform live and work in theater, and later as a nightclub DJ in New Orleans, James teamed up with Bootlickers guitarist Toshio Mana in 2005 to release acoustic guitar/vocal folk album "Metronomosexual". The album combines some of James' favorite covers with new acoustic interpretations of originals like "Kissable". The album also featured three rare demo recordings from 2004. In 2006, with the popularity of "Can't Get a Date," James and Toshio toured and played a variety of respected and prestigious venues. Among them was Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, where the live record "Live at Rockwood" was recorded. Giving the listener a chance to eavesdrop on what James' live show is like, it features a variety of fan favorites including a peppy, goofy rendition of the Vanity 6 classic "Nasty Girl". It also documents the first live performance of "The Fumes of Burning Bridges", which would go on to be a single nearly 2 years later. Note the alternate lyrics! In 2007 James and Toshio released the single for "Fumes". The title track - an alt-country number about the perils of fame and greed - became a popular download on iTunes. The b-side "Mammie's Compact" is a gothic, moody piece about a mother coming to terms with her son's sexual preference before her death. Also included was a live rehearsal version of "Bayou Refueling Station" caught on tape by the producers of "Can't Get a Date". In mid 2007 the B-sides and rarities album "Medium Rare" was released in a limited edition of 5,000 copies. Compiling a variety of unreleased tracks, b-sides, new remixes and outtakes, it culled material as far back as 1998. This included the Mnemosyne's Lounge reject "Flesh Fish Honey Woman" with lyrics co-penned by Tori Amos. Also there is a totally new, funky remix of "The Fumes of Burning Bridges" by Neil Forrester, who many remember from "The Real World: London". As an added bonus, in anticipation of their new album "Ipecac Kisses," James and Toshio released a three track acoustic pop E.P. Called "The August E.P.", it showcased recordings of two new covers and one new original that the duo have been performing in 2007 at venues on the East Coast. You get all of these amazing releases - 56 tracks in all! - compiled into this exclusive digital release, at one great price!
