简介

One day in October in the windy city of Chicago, Illinois a baby boy was born at the early morning hour of 1:30am. While last call was being given around the neighborhood bars and taverns, Lois and Harold were cradling their new born son who would be named Scotty. Even though some would consider the young boy a born city slicker, Scotty would cut his teeth to country artists like Johnny Cash, George Jones, Tammy Wynette and many others. A good explanation for this would be that his father also known as Buddy Williams, was a musician who entertained in the local clubs doing shows with such greats as Faron Young, David Houston, Willie Nelson and others. It wouldn’t take long for Scotty to learn how to maneuver the Hi Fi record player located in the living room and spin his favorite records. At the age of ten, Scotty would try his skills at baseball and football, but he would still follow his dad’s music career as he would attend annual local music events and award ceremonies that would be held in Buddy’s honor. Then at the age of eleven, Scotty’s mother passed away due to a sudden death. This would change the course of Scotty’s life that would lead him into a dark abyss of loneliness and seclusion that would later reflect into his early music. From that time on Scotty would accompany his dad to all his gigs that would keep him out till the morning light. Many times he would fall asleep to the sound of fiddles and steel guitar ringing through the air that held the scent of cigarettes, beer, and whiskey. At the age of fifteen Scotty would constantly follow his dad to all his gigs and one night was helping his dad set up the music equipment and found himself on the end of a microphone doing a microphone check. The band kicked into a song called “You Gave Me a Mountain”. Scotty heard this song many times before and it reminded him of his mother long passed. He started singing the words and all at once he felt all eyes on him. The song came to the chorus and being unsure of his vocal range, Scotty stopped singing. There were two older gentlemen at the side of the stage encouraging this young lad to continue. Scotty grabbed the microphone and finished the song. After the song was over Scotty heard the applause of the crowd and that sparked a fire that would begin to consume his heart that would lead him down a road of victories and heartaches that would lay out a story through his music from song to song. When Scotty tuned sixteen, he began performing in nightclubs doing a solo act with just an acoustic guitar. He would later take the advise of his father and build a three piece band that would get him into bigger nightclubs therefore giving him more exposure to the public. As time went on Scotty would go through musician after musician until the year 1985. Scotty joined a well known Baltimore based band known as the “BBC”. The Bad Boys of Country. With this band Scotty found himself opening for such national acts as Garth Brooks, Sawyer Brown, Vince Gill, Confederate Railroad, Mark Chestnut, Merle Haggard, Lonestar, Cheryl Wright and many others. Since then Scotty has found a direction in music that he hopes to lead him down a successful road that will consist of good music and fun times. With the support of his family, Scotty hopes to one day enter the ranks of his long time admired performers and join the long list of artists that have made a difference with their life in songs and musical achievements.
