简介

Bomb Pop (4:12) Lyrics by: Bill Cameron Music by: Jason Nokes Recorded by: Jason Nokes and Bret Boulé - January 2002 Mixed by: Jason Nokes This song was left over from the Under Skin recording sessions. It is about having fun when you’re a kid with no worries whatsoever. Summer of Slam (4:04) Lyrics and Music by: Jason Nokes Recorded by: Jason Nokes and Bret Boulé - January 2002 Mixed by: Jason Nokes “S.O.S.” is all about summer love in high school. It was also recorded during the Under Skin sessions, but ultimately left off the album. Golden (JNokes Remix) (3:26) Remixed by: Jason Nokes - October 2002 This picks up where the Under Skin version left off. By rearranging the parts, Jason came up with a new, but familiar song. L.U.S.T. (JNokes Remix) (2:44) Remixed by: Jason Nokes - April 2003 Because of the fast tempo, L.U.S.T. was ripe for a remix. Jason takes the cool guitar riff and builds the song around it. What Dreams May Come (3:33) Lyrics by: Bill Cameron Music by: Jason Nokes and Bret Boulé Recorded and Mixed by: Bret Boulé - June 2001 (edited by Jason - April 2003) This song has always been one of the band’s favorites, but it was not included on an album. Though recorded in 2001 in Rocky’s basement, this version has been shortened digitally to reflect how we played it in 2003. Raise Your Head (3:32) Lyrics by: Bill Cameron Music by: Jason Nokes and Bret Boulé Recorded and Mixed by: Scott Evans - May 13, 2000 The very first Shiver original recorded live at our first Nieners gig! A great song to play live, it was not included on our debut CD because we felt it did not reflect our current sound and style. In The Eyes (5:36) Lyrics by: Bill Cameron Music by: Jason Nokes and Bret Boulé Recorded and Mixed by: Scott Evans - July 17, 2001 The only Shiver song written mostly during practice, it features an ultra-cool bass/drums intro. This was recorded live at the Hurricane during our “send off show” before we left to compete in the Jim Beam competition in Denver. Why (4:04) Lyrics by: Bill Cameron Music by: Jason Nokes Recorded by: Bret Boulé - February 2003 Mixed by: Bret Boulé and Jason Nokes The lyrics were written two years before the music was created. This acoustic version was recorded in Bret’s basement and many fans feel the song is more powerful acoustic than electric. Bret is also playing guitar on this recording. Take Down (4:01) Lyrics and Music by: Jason Nokes Recorded by: Bret Boulé - February 2003 Mixed by: Bret Boulé and Jason Nokes This song is about the 9/11 tragedy and Jason being stranded out of the country at the time. Shiver performed it many times as a full band; this acoustic version features both Jason and Bret on acoustic guitars. I Never Said Goodbye (3:38) Lyrics and Music by: Jason Nokes Recorded by: Bret Boulé - February 2003 Mixed by: Bret Boulé and Jason Nokes Shiver has only played this song live once (acoustic in Gardner). The lyrics are based on a true story about someone who has spent too much time living in the past.
