Keen to capture the dynamic exuberance of their live performance, Colourblind booked time at ABC studios in Perth, Western Australia, as this venue would allow them to set up and play completely live. Baffling was placed between the players to minimise spill, but eye contact was maintained and the live experience captured. Once the tracks were on tape, they were mixed at Planet Studios - also in Perth, and then mastered at Studio 301, in Sydney. Four tracks were selected for release, as they reflected the wide range of the band's musical tastes. From hard funk to blues to alternative rock, Everyman is nothing if not eclectic! Buoyed by the extremely positive reactions to EP, the band soon relocated from Perth to Sydney and the journey continued.
