The Deacon has done it again with his third album titled “The Sacrifice of Praise”! Shifting gears from the previous two albums, this album is totally dedicated to the Lord. It offers the experience of touching heaven and allowing the Lord to hold you and love you. Several songs are inspired by the Holy Spirit, and carry an anointing that cannot be denied. One particular track “A Chosen Man” has inspired many listeners, as this single has been the first hit from the album. We are involved in a conversation between the Deacon and God as Deacon realizes who he is called to be. The strength that eludes from this track is easily captured into the minds of listeners as they embrace the same sense of being chosen. The identity of being a child of God is spoken to, as the person rises to whom they are called to be.

Another anointed song on the album is “A Father’s Blessing”. Deacon blesses each one of his children on the first, second and third verses of the song. Each individual child is included in his or her verse as Dad blesses them and displays his love for them. A true parental care and love are communicated through the language of song. Wow! The violins and the stringed instruments only add to the feelings within one’s heart as tears begin to water their eyes. Anyone that is a parent will instantly feel the emotion and authenticity of this song.

Many more songs such as these are included in the project. The end of the album offers room for the youth as upbeat tracks set the pace. Radical praise is what claims the victory in people’s lives, and Deacon encourages that with the songs, “Dance Like David” and “Jesus Is The Way”. These catchy melodies draw the ears of those that are in tune with unique sounds. The lyrics on many of these songs hold so much of God’s word that it cannot return void.

The fruit of our lips is the key to our victory. The Sacrifice of Praise is definitely pleasing to God and many others. This is a must have album.
