"When you heard Britney Spears' insufferably catchy 'Toxic' in 2004, did you ever think it would serve as an inspiration-of-sorts for a rap song about w**d? Because that's exactly what's happening here on A.Dd+'s latest track, 'Can't Come Down.' It features Slim Gravy, one half of the North Dallas duo, waxing on the days when he would give in to the urges to get high before (and during) work. His decision to go this route lyrically stems from the track's producer, Brain Gang X'Zavier, reaching out for a good ol' marijuana anthem over his laid-back, smokey beat. Slim certainly delivered, as his double-time-to-drawl delivery complements the chill production while the hook's sampling of Yael Naim's cover of 'Toxic' gives off a haunting vibe. I never thought I'd be writing that, but hey, here we are." - Andrew Martin (Prefixmag)
