During a four-decade career as a professional audio engineer, working with such artists as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Whitney Houston, and Aretha Franklin, I have continued to write, perform, and record my own songs; songs about relationships, love lost, love found, and life in general. I have always been drawn to songs with a good, strong rhythm and so many of the songs are fun to dance to. Some of the other songs have a softer message and a softer, acoustic feel. I am playing and singing on all of these songs but many fine session players added their talents, too. I can't remember all of their names and so, rather than list a few, I will simply give a large and sincere thanks to all of them for some wonderful playing. I have called the album, 'Test of Time', because, of all the songs that I have written over the past fifty years, these are the ones that I still sing around the house and still enjoy hearing. They have stood the test of time.
