Starting in the University years in Ankara, Turkey , SOFTA was first formed by Ece and Furkan back in 2007, after having some group member changes finally came into their final form. They focused more on writing their own lyrics and making their original compositions, they performed on many important scenes and organizations in Ankara. They got their first major break when they participated in the 14th Annual Tuborg Roxy Music Days competition and landing in 1st Prize award and The Special Tuborg Prize. With the success of this they had many live performances in Istanbul, and perform on a regular basis in 'Peyote' which is one of the most important place in Istanbul for indie music. Their style is a mix of Punk Garage and have some Psychedelic stuffed into their rhythm and believe the their style drastically reflects the Acid Punk genre of music.
