Fellow American is under heavy influence of eclectic genres of music ranging from folk, to pop, to classic rock. Our goal is to present you with music that is aesthetically appealing and all around encouraging. Typically using more percussion behind the scenes in most of our songs, we provide a subtle, addictive, rhythm flavor that is sure to keep your foot tapping or your head nodding. On top of these memorable cadences, we strongly believe that the human voice is one of the most versatile instruments and are not shy about constructing songs that use rhythmic talking, warming harmonies, and plenty of oohs, ahs, and ohs to guarantee a revolving slot on the radio station inside your brain. We have been compared to severs artists including: Young the Giant, Local Natives, Fall Out Boy, Mumford and Sons, Relient K, The Avett Brothers, Band of Horses, Death Cab for Cutie, Jimmy Eat Word, Bon Iver, America, and a variety of others.
