简介
Lisa Jason has performed since childhood all over the East Coast in dance, musical theater and as a rock and roll front-woman. Shy as a girl Lisa spent most of her time listening to her mothers albums and singing along with the great women of song. It was her outlet to the world. Growing up in a small town without much to do, and feeling socially challenged, this helped Lisa to pursue her interests further into dance and singing. A friend played her a Pat Benetar album, at the age of nineteen and Lisa hung up her point shoes and joined a rock band. She has had the privilege to work with such artists as Otis Day and the Nights, The Hooters, Dennis Quaid and the Bonnie Raitt band, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, Molly Hatchett among many others. Her first CD "Envision", a CD of co-written and original material. With guest artists such as Steely Dan's Denny Dias, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones ad Joe Pet from Boston, began her journey as a singer songwriter. She performed on the CD previously unreleased tracks from Steely Dan. Her second CD "Matter Of Time", a full length CD in which she co-wrote, wrote and peformed original music. Produced by legendary soundman Stuart "Dinky" Dawson who has worked with such greats as Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, The Mamas and Papas, Orleans, Ambrosia, The Byrds, Spanky and Our Gang, and many more. Songs written by Denny Dias of Steely Dan, and one song especially written for Lisa called "I Ain't Lyin", also songs by Harriet Schock, David Pac from Ambrosia and well as original music. With drummer John"Bullet" Morelli, of Cyndi Lauper's band "Blue Angel", the band performed songs from this CD in venues in Boston and New York, with major record label interest, and was very well received by the music community. Lisa performed as a guest at Aerosmith's club, at their request. "Beautiful Child" is a Lisa Jason original song, co-written by Brian Morris. This song was adopted by The March Of Dimes charity to use in their campaign. A March Of Dimes baby herself, and benefiting from the advances in medicine from the March Of Dimes, Lisa has lead an normal life and has given birth to two beautiful, healthy daughters of her own. She has dedicated this song to The March Of Dimes as a thank you for her life, a gift back. This song is a celebration of babies and children, and the children inside of us. Lisa performs at fundraisers for the March Of Dimes and volunteers. "Beautiful Child" has also won national and local songwriting contests, as well as included on a CD benefitting The United Way, including such artists as Patti Larkin. Lisa recently released her new CD, "Road To Me", with many local songwriters and musicians from Cape Cod Massachusetts. The song "Beautiful Child" is featured on this CD. An emotional journey through song, touching a part of each of our hearts. With powerful lyrics and beautiful melody's "Road To Me" is sure to become part of your soul. It represents Lisa's journey of her own through song and to finally finding her own voice. "A timeless piece that will remain in our hearts", "When Lisa sings I hear God in her voice", "An angelic voice", "How does such a little girl have such a powerful voice?" Also featured on this CD are songs by The Fifth Dimension, Jim Steinman and Meatloaf, Judy Garland, and Janis Ian. "At Seventeen", is Lisa's anthem of an awkward teenager in a small town, trying to blossom. A little blues, a little jazz, a little rock and a whole lot of spirit and soul. Take a journey that you will keep in your heart. With a successful CD release concert at The Wequassett Inn in Chatham, MA, Lisa looks forward to making many appearances in 2008.
