简介
Formed in the spring of 2000, Strumpet has performed at a variety of venues including The Voodoo Lounge, The Lost and Found Saloon, Paradise Lounge, and El Rio. We are currently looking to book gigs and to acquire professional management in order to increase our exposure. Strumpet is a dynamic trio with an energetic stage presence whose songs explore the full spectrum of rock 'n' roll. As highlighted in our CD, Chatter moves with a snappy power punk riff while Phase returns to folk/acoustic roots. Our influences are equally diverse: P.J. Harvey and The Doors. The band combines the talents of three versatile musicians. Audrey Howard began performing original material in Chicago four years ago. She continued her career in San Francisco by producing her own CD, playing solo acoustic shows and attracting a loyal fan base. TommyJack met Audrey in Chicago where he sang and wrote with Mix-O-Plix, a quirky punk band. Together they scored and performed themes and interludes for a production of Eve Ensler's Floating Rhoda and the Glue Man at Northwestern University. Sean McAllister, an alternative rock/blues drummer and songwriter, was originally a member of Scratched Vinyl in Richmond, VA. When Sean first played with Audrey and TommyJack the three felt an instant creative connection. Audiences respond to Strumpet's emotional intensity, melodic hooks, and playful wit. Fans comment that the interaction among band members exudes a positive vibe throughout the crowd. Strumpet's future plans include recording a full length CD, playing more venues in the Bay Area, and touring into the Northwest.
