those guyz, okc, roy gonzales, kenny kautz, david edde and greg moody have been together as a band for over eight years, while geoff white has been with the group the last three years. each band member has performed on numerous stages and venues throughout oklahoma. the band was first developed by kenny kautz, lead guitarist and vocal and roy gonzales, lead vocals and rythm guitar in the late 1990's. they went to high school together. roy was playing in a band with his brothers under the name "speedy and the runaways". the band took a hiatus while a search was on for a lead guitarist and in came kenny. the brother called "speedy" left for the army so the name was changed to "the runaways". roy and kenny played their first gig for their freshman graduation dance in 1969. they played together until they graduated from high school in 1972. circumstances took them in different directions, but music would always stay a part of their lives. the disco era changed the live music scene. roy moved to country and latin music with his brothers, as "latin blood". kenny continued to rock and roll, thus the connections with david edde, drums and vocals, who has played with bands touring around the u.s. as well as greg moody on bass. the band met each thursday for practice, with the intentions of playing music for a fun time. not being satisfied as a garage band, the decision was made to look for gig's. after playing in kenny's garage for two years, the intention was to play one or two gigs per month. of course, things changed and there were more than one or two gigs per month and a serious cd project. geoff came to the group after kenny and roy had bouts with laryngitis during some gigs. greg had known geoff and geoff, luckily, knew most of the songs kenny or roy sang. it also helped that he played keyboard, which added to the band's sound along with the vocals. so, he was hired. kenny, david, greg and geoff had at one time or another played in bands together. when roy moved to the oklahoma city area, kenny found out and they talked about just getting together to jam, and the rest is history. you now have those guyz from oklahoma city, which is the reason for the "okc", in case there was a need to know. each member will add their own information so you will know each member of "those guyz,okc". © 2006 those guyz, okc
