Laeli (Lah-Ellie) is a Jewish music project made up of husband and wife duo, Lael and Eli Palnik. Their Hebrew names, Eli (אלי) and Lael (לאל) make Laeli (לאלי). We hope this music will nourish your soul as you continue on your spiritual journey." BIO: Eli began playing music as a small child. In 2008 he graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He majored in world percussion and composition. Since then, Eli has released 5 full length studio albums. He has performed all around the United Sates and composes music for major television, radio, and motion pictures. He is currently the Resident Musician and sound design professor in the Department of Dance at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He provides live accompaniment for Contemporary, African, and Ballet dance classes. Lael has been singing and writing songs since childhood. She and her sisters learned to harmonize by listening to their father perform in a barber shop quartet every weekend. Her love of music, choir and song writing continued, though she pursued a passion in fine art. She received a BFA in graphic design from Webster University in Saint Louis, Missouri. She has a background in museum education; designing after school programming and mentoring underserved teens in fine art and music production. After working as a production artist and an art director for a software company, she now works as a graphic designer from her home studio in Columbus, Ohio. Eli and Lael met at a coffee shop in 2008. Since then, they've been playing music and exploring their creative gifts. They see a real need for quality, soulful, Jewish music that can accompany anyone's journey towards mitzvot, Torah, love of Israel, and love of HaShem. These ideas inspire the melodies that they write together.
