A couple of Rock’n’Roll orphans, cruelly left behind when the 1970’s came puking to a close, have finally emerged from the Rocky wilderness with “A Little R&R”, a debut CD that just refuses to be ignored. A lemon’s fair squeeze of naughty Rock ditties, wayward cousin Country, fixated funky Blues, ‘ooohs!’ and cheap, shallow sleaze, this CD may well become a touchstone for discerning taste desperadoes and aging Rockers in overcoats the Wide Web over. Like Red says himself, the CD “cover IS it’s own warning sticker.” But don’t let that put you off. Go on! Slip it out, put it in and listen if you dare. It may be a Grower.
