简介

What's a "Flash Mob"? From Wikipedia: "A flash mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, then quickly disperse." While the band does not literally fit that definition, they admire the concept. In 2007, The Flash Mob assembled out of the dissolution of two notable Denver bands with the goal of creating an act that combined the best of both: a synergy where rock, reggae, dancehall, hip hop and funk textures come together - creating provocative hybrid stylings that are balanced by persuasive hooks and pop sensibilities. The experiment proved itself to be a success, establishing them as one of Denver's best up and coming acts. Soon after its formation, interest in The Flash Mob accumulated as quickly as its namesake implied. Opportunities usually reserved for more established acts opened up for the band early in its development - starting with their first studio track, "By My Side", being featured on a nationally-distributed compilation disk alongside tracks by Pepper, Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads, Fishbone, Sublime and others. Soon afterward, a debut show providing main support for the nationally-acclaimed rock and hip-hop troop the Flobots followed and was the first of a string of higher-profile live appearances - including support slots for Ziggy Marley and Passafire, and gigs on the summer festival circuit. The Flash Mob is Wayne Alden on vocals and guitar, Kyle Ingram on vocals and acoustic guitar, Matt Fink on vocals and drums, D. Scott Morris on guitar, Dave Crotser on bass, and DJ Kaaos on turntables.
