Stacy ‘Tee Dawg’ Serrano BIOGRAPHY Born: July 8, 1968 Where: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Born Stacy Terry Serrano on July 8, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Serrano grew up amidst the middle-classes, until middle school. His mother lost her job and had a hard time taking care of him and 3 other siblings. So they had to move into the ghetto. His father had been out of the picture since Stacy was about two, so no help there. Stacy was the second oldest of four children (the youngest was Stacy’s sister Nean, the oldest brother Minton and then the second to the youngest was Stacy’s twin Tracy). Stacy was vivid in his childhood days, often expressing it through his drawings of sketches, pen and ink (line drawing), automotive car designs, and musical lyricism. A social butterfly with the ladies, sharp-witted, and now street smart, Stacy was on his way down what could be considered the wrong path to some, that of an academically inept street thug with nothing to look forward to but hoop dreams. But this young man learned the hard lesson of the streets, that in order to help mom feed and support the family, ‘he had to do what he had to do’. As the years went by, Stacy claims that at one point and time he thought he knew exactly who he was. “I mean almost everything was at my fingertips to grab”, he says. He had the new cars and tow trucks every other year with the nice booming stereo systems and the Playstation 1 and 2 mounted under the dashboards, the prettiest women, and damn near everything money could buy. It was nothing for him to walk up through the crowd that was waiting impatiently in line, bypass the bouncer, holler a “Hey what’s good?” and into the clubs and recording studios all through out Philadelphia and New Jersey. Stacy was known as a ‘cannon’ when it came to the ladies just like as in his adolescent days. He was well known, sort of like a Mr. Underground, popular and handsome. Performing at such venues like; The Celebrity Picnic Party, Stop the Violence for Children, Channel 17 Talent Search, house, basement, park, and playground party gatherings helped him realize that maybe there was more to life that just fast cars and cute girls. Stacy ‘Tee Dawg’ Serrano then began to branch out to further expand his vivid realism and smooth talk into becoming a rapper. Today, Tee Dawg is more then a writer, producer, artist: he is a leader that’s striving every day for an opportunity to play some positive vibes into the younger generation. He will never stop trying to reach out to young people, and one day God will see fit to let that right ‘someone’ recognize his talent. Even if it never happens, Stacy will continue to do it his own way, and will go down in history as a feared and well-respected lyricist with nothing but positive vibes for the young community of the US and all over the world. Now, with over 18 years of experience in the entertainment industry underground, Stacy “Tee Dawg” Serrano has been involved with numerous film, television, music videos and recording projects. The key to Tee Dawg’s success in this area is his ability to discover and attract strong stories as an excellent recording artist. Stacy “Tee Dawg” Serrano’s principle mission involves using his skillfully positve lyricism and ‘messages in the music’ to change the culture of hip-hop as we know it today. “Tee has a way with words”, says Michael Stewart, of F&M Records. Any words, Tee? “I realized that I’ve been going in one big circle, in other words, wearing too many hats. IT TAKES MORE THEN JUST A ONE-MAN SHOW TO DO THIS THING!! I’ve been really blessed as far as my recording career goes. THERE COMES A TIME TO HARVEST, to reap the good seeds that have been sown. That time is NOW! I’m more than ready to shine with the right team of producers, promoters and, most importantly, a tight a** management team. Sky’s da limit........
