After years of singing at Folk Clubs and informally for family and friends, Chris finally recorded an album that has been warmly received. Using carefully chosen instruments blending with his trademark voice and guitar, his recorded tracks stray little from his live performances.

'Sounds of Folk' said, 'Chris has a voice I could listen to for hours' and 'Folk North West', in a review of Chris' first album 'Set My Dreams Free', said, 'a collection of 13 songs which individually, and even more so collectively, go to prove what a master songwriter and performer Chris Rogan is'.

Born to Irish parents, traditional Irish ballads were an early influence on Chris. Later, major players such as the Stones and The Beatles also played their part, but in more recent years, Chris has been drawn back to a blend of contemporary and traditional Celtic influences. Artists including Christy Moore, Cara and Mary Dillon and Kate Rusby are held in very high regard by Chris.

And the word is Chris has started to put together another album.
