Based out of the westside of Reykjavík, JARL $QUAD, has been actively making trap music since the summer of 2015. When the two members were introduced through mutual friends, they both had experience in creating boom bap golden era type music. Their first performance together was at Músíktilraunir 2013 (The Icelandic Music Experiment) where they recieved an award for best lyrics. Through the years, they became less and less interested in the classics and started developing a taste for hard knocking bouncy trap music and decided to try their hand at it. Their first single, HALELÚJA, caught the attention of the press and icelandic hip-hop fans and thus the squad was born.

The squads essence is the rapper + producer combo, but the collective also consists of DJs, videographers and designers.
