简介
Tim Chaisson, the multi-instrumentalist, performer and songwriter has been working steady as a musician since a young age and has recorded three critically-acclaimed studio albums. Now older, it’s apparent when listening to his newest release Broken Hearted Beat that his music has evolved to where Tim’s been striving to be. You can’t help but respect Tim’s ethereal talent. His evolution has captured the attention of Canadian icon Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar, The Trews, Joel Plaskett), producer of the highly-anticipated new record (release September 2009), along with the help of Joel Plaskett. Tim and his all-star band, Morning Fold (Tian Wigmore, Brien McCarthy and Nat Lamoureux) are all on the new album with the appearance of Johnson. Recorded in Texas at Willie Nelson’s studio, this album is the most organic example of East Coast pop. Tracks like "Slippin' Away" and “Lay Low” are staple summer sing-a-longs; with mellow tones that will carry you into the fall. With hypnotic hooks and beats, you can hear Plaskett's influence throughout all the songs. The title track shows signs of a songwriter’s growth, attracting even the non-pop fans. “We were very fortunate to be able to work with Gordie and Joel on the record,” says Tim. “I think with all of our musical tastes combined, allows for a record that everyone can take something from.” Have a listen to Broken Hearted Beat’s eclectic sound; mainstream catchiness laden with east coast vibe is what will have you hitting repeat on your iPod again and again.
