Dan Grimm's debut solo album “Looking Down the Avenues” is a collection of many songs that have spanned the last five years in his personal songwriting. Genres from folk, bluegrass to alternative country and blues can be heard within the songs that touch on relationships, hometown roots, addiction and just good ole storytelling. Dan’s influences can be heard with his diverse vocal range and guitar style. One key forte is Dan’s harmonica style; similar to legends Neil Young and Bob Dylan. James Taylor, Johnny Cash and southern rockers Drive-By Truckers are other influences that can be heard in this diverse, yet true to life album of what songwriting can really turn out to be.
