简介
Crash of Cassini This concept album features songs embodying the emotions and feelings one may experience if one of the internets favorite conspiracy theories ever came to be a reality. Just as the movie 2010 told the story of the planet Jupiter exploding into a star, many informed citizens believe this movie was a foreshadowing of a potential future event. On October 15, 1997, NASA launched the Cassini spacecraft on a mission to survey and research the planet Saturn along with its many moons. However aboard this space craft was 72 lbs. of Plutonium. This is much more than would be necessary for the mere stated objectives of the mission. Could there be more to this story? Could it be that at some future date, the Cassini spacecraft could be plunged into this gas giant only to detonate it into a second sun? Currently Cassini is in orbit around Saturn waiting for its next command. In the mean time, enjoy "Crash of Cassini" and consider the potential implications. Biography The most musical mayhem ever created by a girl and a boy. This is the mantra of Magnuson. Since 2002 in the coffee shops of San Diego to the rock clubs they frequent today, Magnuson has been playing their unique brand of Indie/prog in whatever format they could cobble together. Comprised of Greg and Kyrsten Magnuson, this dynamic duo has collectively been known to play drums, guitar, bass, and keyboards live all while maintaining beautifully intricate harmonies. 2010 has brought amazing opportunities to this power-duo including playing some of the best clubs in Los Angeles. Their shows at The Troubadour, Key Club, Silverlake Lounge and many other So Cal hot-spots generated buzz galore and energized their fan base. As one devotee commented on Youtube: "Jack White just sent this vid to his mom, he wrote- "Sorry ma, this is what we should have sounded like." The duo set out on a west coast tour in 2009 traveling through Utah, Idaho, Las Vegas, Portland and Sacramento proving they had what it takes to contend in the indie-rock/DIY world. The resulting sound and songs will be featured on their latest LP "Crash of Cassini" scheduled for release in Spring of 2011. The album will include "Real Control", "Somewhere" and "Let Me Go" along with 11 other tracks featuring their hook-laden, ground-breaking audio assault tactics. Other past milestones include “Strange Lights” receiving airplay on San Diego’s The Local 94.9 radio program and their music video for "Hopeless Rerun" generating industry accolades in the Rock Star 98.7 video competition. Some may wonder, after listening to their recorded music if these two can pull this stuff off live. Fact is, they not only pull it off, they do it with such passion, its hard to imagine it live any other way. Listen to the songs and watch the live video, you won't be disappointed.
