Eric Weiner may be the worlds foremost composer of 5-string banjitar music. After years of playing and performing on finger style guitar and bluegrass banjo Eric followed a growing compulsion to find a fusion of sound and technique between the two instruments which would combine the drive and energy of banjo picking with the lyrical tone of a small body guitar. Eventually, this led to designing and having built a hybrid instrument, the 5-string banjitar which combined a banjo neck with a guitar body. The instruments unique sound inspires unique compositions which fuses the sounds of bluegrass, Celtic, classical, blues, and other folk roots into a refreshingly creative style and some great music.
