简介
Naudhiz was formed in early 2011 after vocalist / drummer Aaron Byous was released from Arizona State Prison. Jason Levi Butche (guitar) and Robert Johnson (bass) round out the Phoenix-based trio, although by listening to them you'd never guess they were a 3 piece with a singing drummer. Influenced by acts like Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan, Mr. Bungle, Botch and Dystopia, the most common comparison you hear is "they're sorta like Mike Patton meets (insert favorite unheard of weird band here)". Byous uses a wide range of screams, growls, whines, squeals and gutteral hemorrhages mixed with good old fashioned punk rock singing and even a high-pitched falsetto to convey some deep-seeded angst. In fact, "The Seed" title is supposed to represent "that feeling you get in your chest, in your gut... fight or flight, hate or love, need-fire, the Naudhiz rune"... here's some independent reviews of the band and album: "Gosh I sure do like Naudhiz. This punk/hardcore/metal/whatever band actually lists their genre as "We don't even know what that word means anymore." One listen of The Seed proves that point. This sh*t is crazy. Aaron Byous, Robert Johnson, and Jason Levi Butche have made quite the punk album. As I first listened to it, I felt like I was becoming more and more insane. Luckily I enjoy that feeling and so I've repeated my listening of The Seed many times. From light funk/jazz to hard-hitting complex time signature chaos, the weird never stops coming on this album. And any lead vocalist/drummer is ok in my book..." --YabYum Music and Arts "Thrashy hardcore, clearly played by psychopaths" --Travis James "Neanderthals playing skewed punk and angular noise while wallowing in remission of their Meth Fueled weekend. This is not happy clap your hands sassy music...its unhappy slap your face music." --Tyler King
