After years of releasing tunes on the internet covering various electronic influences and backgrounds, Elite Athlete, presents "LOW" a straightforward track with a stomping and simple enough four by four beat, an 80's monopoly synth arp that's as bubbly as dark and an assertive vocal cut. The release is accompanied by four remixes handpicked by Elite Athlete, chosen for the love for their creators work. IVVVO, Sabre, Ludovic and Anders Blickmann recreate the original track offering their own personal distinctive signature. IVVVO, one of the most forward thinking producers in the electronic scene, delivers his trademark murky sound featuring a guttural leading bass line, fainted strings that struggle for air against the oppressive kick. The duo, Sabre, presents a blissful balearic house remix featuring an hypnotic synth line at it's core that will make you loose track of time and dance around the fire from sunset till dawn. Ludovic's remix takes no prisoners. As one half of Umbra project, the producer's interpretation on "Low" showcases his rough techno side. The track is dominated by a dense and raw bass line that slowly evolves and encompasses the propulsive percussion rework. Anders Blickmann offers a challenging reshaping, keeping the majority of the original sounds while adding a huge sense of claustrophobia. His mathematical and aseptic approach runs in tandem with an oppressive and an ever increasingly disturbingly low pitched synth line.
