In the wake of the BP Gulf oil disaster, Alexander James Adams' lyrics challenge a world where domination has replaced dominion of our Mother Earth in his new single "What Are We Doing?"...The full ramifications of this catastrophic event may not be known for a long, long time; but in the meantime, we feel helpless, frustrated and angry at the power and greed wielded by the corporations running everything. The oil disaster has sparked in me an inner voice screaming "What Are We Doing?" when we consider the eradication and abuse of the world's flora and fauna, mountains and oceans, air and noise pollution, and the escalation throughout history of our fighting each other over material gain. We are supposed to be nurturing and stewarding this glorious planet we call Home; instead, we seem determined to destroy Her.
