It was back in 2008 when both Matt (Raze) and Greg (Ace) first met during a Japanese lesson at a local weekend college. It was not long after that the guys started to experiment with music, mostly within the realms of Dark Electronic/Industrial music (Most likely an influence from the alternative clubs that Matt used to DJ at locally). Then after a hiatus of about a year, when both of them were working and experimenting with various styles within their own solo projects, that they came together again to work on creating their own sound, and in effect not emulate any other artists. Subsequently, Shinzou was born. Combining both their enthusiasm and interest in the Japanese culture with their love for all electronic music, the guys aim to infuse this into their music and take you on a journey to the Far East. Be it through the sampling of a Japanese answer phone message within the touching yet pounding dance track 'Neon Nights (In Tokyo)' or the traditional Japanese sounding strings within the almost ambient track 'Uteki', the guys aim to invoke different feelings within each track and take you on a totally different journey every time you listen.
