简介
The new Bob Woods Trio CD, “Railroad Money,” features a bluesy, country swing sound thanks to the contribution of the legendary Gene Parsons (The Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers) on pedal steel guitar. The trio features Woods on a smoking hot Fender Telecaster. Parsons personally customized the guitar with his patented Parsons/White B-Bender, a device that puts an extra twang in Woods’ signature rockabilly groove. Rounding out the trio are Billy Smart on five-string bass and Skip Alan Smith on drums Woods’ slow-rocking “Railroad Money” is the title cut on the new CD. Throughout the album, Parsons’ steel guitar both mellows out and complements Woods’ greased-lightning riffs and original songs, including the upbeat “I Love the Nightlife, the laidback “Bluesville” and the plaintive “Hillbilly Heart.” The album also features the country rocker “Love and Laundry” written by Vikki Lee.
