Well before the McNulty Family visited Newfoundland in the early 1950's their music had become popular on radio in Newfoundland. Their repertoire has remained as a vital cornerstone of Newfoundland music. The McNulty’s were a huge influence and the band are proud to present this collection from the McNulty Family’s repertoire, reworked and recorded by Shanneyganock. The impact of the McNulty Family on Newfoundland Music has not yet been fully explored or accessed but research that is currently underway will do much to remedy this situation. Their repertoire has remained a vital ingredient in Newfoundland music to the extent that it is virtually impossible to attend a kitchen party where McNulty songs and tunes will not be heard.
