CHIQUITA ELIZABETH GREEN www.chiquitaegreen.com VOCALIST/SONGWRITER/ PERCUSSIONIST/AUTHOR International award winning Gospel and Jazz recording artist, Chiquita E. Green illuminates the stage with grace and the power of her explosive creative energy! Known as "The Healing Voice", she's a recipient of four Billboard songwriter achievement awards and three ESMA Gospel Awards for her debut and sophomore CD releases, "Let Go" and "The Sandmouth/Mercy Project", co-written and co-produced with producer/bassist Douglas C. Grigsby lll (TD Jakes, the late Michael Jackson & Teena Marie). While in a recent concert, she debuted her fourth CD entitled "Raisin Colored Sky" (2012), to a captivated audience. The CD is nominated for "Best Inspirational/Jazz CD", while her single "Lord I Lift Up Your Name" from her third CD project entitled "Diary Of A Daughters Love" (2011), was co-written and co-produced with multi-platinum producer and Grammy Award winner Bobby Eli. She has lent her sultry yet soulful vocals on many recordings and has shared the stage with many celebrated artist including Denise Williams, George Clinton, Hall & Oates, Stevie Wonders' Celebration CD, Ronnie Spector, the late Barry White, Alvin Slaughter, Earnest Pugh, Richard Smallwood, Dianne Reeves, Jeanne Carne, Glen Jones, to name a few. During her early days working with the late Luther Vandross' group "Change", Chiquita discovered and began perfecting a whole new groove to her already "swinging" rhythm! The exhilarating percussionist has headlined and performed at numerous world renowned venues across the globe; Jazz A Vienne-France, Half Note-Athens, Princess Grace Theatre-Monte Carlo, Q Jazz (Ciragan Palace)-Istanbul, Hippodrome-London, Christian Cultural Center-NY, Saint Peters Church-Austria, to name a few. With several television appearances to her credit, she appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, while working with Patti LaBelle in Philadelphia. For seven years, she was a member of the Gospel/Jazz Group "Agape", making regulated tours abroad. No stranger to the theater, she has several stage productions to her credit, including Anything Goes, Heaven Can Wait, The Pied Piper and Torn Love which she co-wrote and produced. Staying true to her roots, Chiquita lives, immersed in the deep billows of her fervent passion, "music"!
