This song came about because. Back in the 70’s I took a demo record to Leeds music in Piccadilly, London. The lady who interviewed me, and listened to my tracks, told me they could do nothing with these, as they had no one that did reggae, but sent me to see another record publishing firm up stairs from her, saying that he would help me. As I was leaving she said, wait a minute. She then told me she liked my style of writing, and that they had TOM JONES and ENGLEBERT HUMPERDINCK, on their books. They were looking for songs for these artists and could I do the honour. I said I would and would be back to see her soon. I went home and started writing this song for TOM. I did one verse and the chorus and then thought I’d have a break. I’m afraid that break took 10 years. That was when I completed this song, and with regrets, I never went to see that lady again. I now decided to promote myself, and this song that was meant for Mr JONES. By the way, this is a true story. So now I hope it will be enjoyed. Errol Parkes
