Music is medicine, Music soothes the soul. Music motivates and opens up dry hardened surfaces, likes hearts that need opening. Music is the meat tenderizer and is the best friend of the lonely. My website only captures a little of the music I've created over the years. Science says that one can hardly focus on one's own pain when one is sings, humming or making music. So, I make music often enough when my heart hurts over things I can not control or change. Music is my friend, as I guess it is yours as well. This past two years I've been consumed with writing a Children's Advent Musical. That's been very fun to do. I've created about 15 songs for this hour show, filled the theatre with fun and song all wrapped up and expressed by children whose hearts are pure and whose voices sings so ardently.

I play piano on Sunday's at my local church and lead the singing during either offertory or Communion. Several times a month I sing with Body and Soul, the Art Of Healing at Mayo Clinic. We tour the various hospital room and provide musical room service, It is one of the hardest jobs to do, as I never know who I'll meet and sing too or the situations I'll encounter with each patient recipient. It's rewarding for sure, but every time I'm set to go to Mayo a huge part of me wants to run away. Facing one's mortality and being allowed to be present with other's who are recovering or suffering from some major illness is what the gift of music in me affords me.

And, on the side, I also am a massage therapist. I find both healing arts incredibly satisfying.
