Making a living ghostwriting both vocals and instrumentals for international DJs for years, she decided she was fed up with sticking to the safety of conventional pop formulas, and decided to conquer her fear of releasing something honest and vulnerable — something she genuinely loves. Gradually beginning to ignore the warnings of her contemporary-minded network of the risk of stepping outside the formats and standards of mainstream trends, the final push toward permitting herself full artistic freedom was her relocation to Amsterdam in 2017, where Dēlfy proverbially ‘found herself’ both musically and visually.
