简介
Up and coming singer-songwriter Emily Rose Cole has been performing all over Pennsylvania since she was twelve years old. She has sung with the Bach Choir of Bethlehem and is part of the family folk-Celtic group DayBreak, which has been performing in the Bucks County area and beyond for over twenty years. Emily's forthcoming solo album, "I Wanna Know," also features the talents of many of Emily's musical friends and family. Her father, Clifford Cole, accompanies her on drums, guitar and hammered dulcimer, her step-uncle Mike Ritter on clarinet, bass, and coronet, and the legendary Rolly Brown adds his incredible jazz riffs that make her rich, sweet voice sparkle and shine. "May," the track from which the CD's title is drawn, typifies the bluesey tone of the album, combining reflective and poetic lyrics with a smattering of jazzy riffs and lovely blue notes. The rest of the album, which is scheduled to be released in May of 2012, will feature five more of Emily's original songs, as well as such immortal standards as Arlen and Koehler's "Stormy Weather," and Gershwin's "Summertime." Special thanks to Allison Bishop, Michael Sloan, and Kathleen Sparks for the cover art design!
