New England native Rick Murnane is noted for smart songwriting, articulate guitar playing, and for having what music writer Ken Maiuri has called “a perfect pop-rock voice.” Performer Magazine has described his work as “beautiful, psychedelic material.” The Last Fridays represents a year-long project that began in June of 2016. A new song was released online on the last Friday of each month, with the process reaching completion in May of 2017. This full album version is a compilation of those twelve songs, sequenced in order of release. In keeping with his decision to go full DIY with this latest project, all vocals, guitars, and bass, plus MIDI drums, keyboards, and orchestral instruments were performed and/or programmed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Rick at Makeshift Sound.
