简介
The Girls are a rock band from Chicago. Their music is a mix of high energy power pop/punk/rock and roll with some cool dark ballads thrown in. They have been described as "what it'd be like if Dylan met The Sex Pistols with Lou Reed and Bowie showing up for the party and Cheap Trick stopping by to say hello..." They are a trio with Jason Batchko on stand up drums/lead vocals, Tom Szidon on bass, and Doug Jarard on guitar. This CD was released a couple of years ago in Australia and now is availabe here in the US. "Imaginary Lover" recently appeared in the indie comedy SEX AND THE TEENAGE MIND and the song "I Think I Forgot" appeared in the film SURVIVING EDEN. They also have songs in the European release of the film DUMMY starring Oscar winner Adrien Brody. The album was recorded and produced by the amazing Jonny Polonsky who recently has recorded/played with Neil Diamond, Dixie Chicks, the late Johnny Cash, and a host of others.
