This record started out as an idea we had after beers, in my case whiskeys, outside on the patio at The Ship and Anchor one fall day a while back. Lorrie and I have known each other for a long time. We both worked together at A&B Sound in Calgary many years ago. I was writing songs and so was Lorrie. Different genres for sure but we both liked the songs. Fifteen years later we decided to do this album together. Lorrie picked the songs, most of which I had never heard before. Many of the artists I hadn't even heard. We went to Arch Audio and took a listen to the original recordings dragging along Tim Leacock, who has played in bands, separately, with both of us and is one of the most talented guys we know. We loved the songs so we proceeded. The money thing fell through almost immediately. The three of us decided to go at it anyways just as friends. 3 years later here it is. Basically, it was all performed by Tim, Lorrie and me. Lorrie produced and directed, we all arranged. I love it. Hope you do too. Oh yeah, I think I speak for Tim and myself when I say....this really is all Lorrie's fault.
