It’s not hard to envision a recording studio control room full of familiar faces using their familiar production skills to shape this Alternative, Pop and EDM masterpiece. Already Grammy nominated writers and producers with songs in just about every US TV show and major movies like EXPENDABLES 2, WHITE IRISH DRINKERS, ROCKY BALBOA and many more, THE TOMS have broken all boundaries with their earth shaking grooves and melodic chemistry. If Kanye West, Phil Spector, John Lennon, Bob Dylan and The Beach Boys decided to collaborate, this would be the blueprint for songs like: “NIKKI NIKKI WAH WAH” with it’s stutter effects and driving kick drum, “SUN” drenched in Beatle harmonies and sonic mesmerizing guitars. Then there’s the oddball “THERAPIST” with its twisted chord changes and relentless hook. This is clearly a departure from their power pop classic sound, but the songwriting and production is brilliant and welcome.
