The foundation of “From Outermost to Eternity” can be traced back to 2008 and to a concert of the very well known group the Kamkars. In that program I was asked to perform a short solo in Nava (One of the Iranian Musical Modes). According to the words of the late, great maestro Rouholah Khaleghi: "Nava rather resembles an old wise man who has gone through many hardships in life and is now willing to share that wisdom with us" As I had given much thought to this precious quote and taking my age into consideration, I was somewhat reluctant to work on this project in”Nava” up until then. During my stay in canada, I was able to find the time to work more on this magical mode, using the solo piece that I performed in the concert mentioned earlier as a base to expand my knowledge on the hidden aspects of “Nava”. A year and a half later, all that effort lead to the production of this present album. Through this path I decided to concentrate on both preserving the essential elements of its innate traditional characteristics as well as combining it with a modern approach. With all efforts, I wholeheartedly hope that this album would meet the expectations of all its esteemed listeners. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my dear friend, Mr. Navid Afghah, who magnanimously stepped in and played Tombak in this Album. This was the second duet that we performed together after, “Naghme-ye Saz, Zarbe- Aghaz”
