No matter where you live in this country, you've no doubt seen the "bathtub madonnas", "Mary on the Half Shells" or any number of names for the repurposed bathtub, burried halfway in the soil and serving as an instant grotto for a statue of Mary, the Blessed Mother. As these are homemade, the level of fit and finish, er, shall we say, "varies greatly". The result can be a lovely sign of devotion or the ultimate "Kitch" lawn ornament. This tonge in cheek song, complete with monastic-style harmonies, celebrates this special sign of faith.
