Mario Rosa (aka Dr. Mario) was classically trained in piano then in 1993 went on to create original electronic music. Also working under the moniker, J.a.h. Tolkien, he was one of the top artists on the old mp3.com website with his track, "Beg 4 Life". He also spent years in the Los Angeles underground music and rave scene as a DJ. He and his better half produced several recordings and CDs under their own label, Jungle Voodoo Recordings, before retiring from DJing. Mario continued producing electronic music that included jungle, experimental, breakcore, techno, and dub. He has also produced original tracks and remixes for various compilations and artists.
