简介
Tell us about where you are from and how you got to this position today. I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale Florida. While growing up I was introduced to the soulful sounds of artists such as David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Micheal Jackson, Christopher Cross, and Sade. This music essentially inspired me along with the likes of Usher, Drake, Kanye West, and many more. Because of the generational gap of music and my likeness of both, I had a desire to sing, rap and perform. After developing my strong love and passion for music, I followed my dreams by studying, writing, and creating exactly that – good music. My hope and desire is to develop music that would move hearts, souls, and minds of this world. This has truly led to me be in the position that I am in today, along with hard work and dedication. Tell us more about the current song you are promoting to everyone. This particular song is about a girl who I happened to meet that I knew from the beginning she was going to be very special yet intriguing to me. When I would look at her I could only smile and say “Girl You Got It”. Ultimately, my experience with her resulted in me expressing myself in such a way that it became the overall conception of this record. Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in the industry? Having three albums: Radioactive, Camaro Love Music, and newly released The Chase. I feel that with the hard work and time that I have put into these albums, I have not received the recognition that I deserve. My desire is to one day receive the breakthrough that I’ve been hoping for and believing in. I know it will happen and I will continue to make good music and work for what I believe in. My success is on it’s way. What was one of the biggest set backs in your career and how did you bounce back? My biggest set back of my career is “waiting for my moment.” When you’re waiting for that one phone call that you know will take you where you always wanted to be in life is a challenge that places pressure on you and everyone that’s working and believing with you. I stay strong, I pray hard, and I bounce back daily when my fans tell me how much they appreciate my music and request more of my style. What are some things artists need to be careful of? Artists need to be careful of how they spend their money, the places that they go, and the company that they choose. Ultimately anything and everything that they do has an effect on them whether it’s positive or negative. Social media is a great tool yet also a double edged sword. It can help your growth allowing fans to get to know you. Yet it can hurt you if you let your emotions get the best of you, by saying things you typically wouldn’t say in person. What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself? Believe in yourself, have faith in God, and pray. Continually hone your skills and work on your craft daily so that your dreams become a reality. Never give up, declare over your life everyday that “you believe you will receive and all things are possible.” Don’t count the days, make the days count. And most of all remember that there is two ways to live your life. One as though nothing is a miracle. The other as though everything is. What is one of your favorite ways to promote yourself and your music? That’s a great question, you know honestly it’s viral. The internet is such a great tool and provides me the opportunity to let people listen and enjoy my music in places where I may not be able to visit in person. Furthermore, it creates an avenue for me to be able to deliver more good music to my fans, followers, and supporters. Everyone who got where he or she is had to begin where he or she was.
