简介
I'm LInda Herman. I play music for ballroom dancing in the Los Angeles area. You will find that all of my cd's have a variety of ballroom dance tempos. This CD features some original songs written by me. I'm especially fond of Manny's Song which was inspired by a friend of course named Manny. The last song, The Sun Always Shines on Sutliff came about after the local board of Supervisors in Iowa voted 3-2 to SAVE THE BRIDGE. The Sutliff Bridge is a historical bridge in Iowa that partially collapsed in 2008. It is dear to my heart. Two "sisters", actually friends, came up with the title when they visited the Bridge after the vote. It was stormy everywhere else except at the Sutliff Bridge. Hey, the shine always shines on Sutliff. A song was born. Back In His Arms probably refers to me. A sort of found love. How Mountain Girls Can Love is a little bluegrass thing. I enjoy "jamming" with some bluegrass friends of mine. Fun on the Roland FR7X. Beach Girl came to me one day. Sort of a "fun" song. The music for February Dream was written by my brother Elk Grant Myers. I wrote the words. I had just got back from visiting Iowa, my home state. Kind of nostalgic. This CD features the Roland FR7X accordion. Yes I said accordion. Ah but this is no regular accordion. It is a truly awesome instrument that is bringing the accordion back into the music scene. The Roland is midi to a Ketron SD3 sound module. What you hear on the recording is exactly what I sound like live. I am from Iowa originally but not reside in Seal Beach. The album cover was done on our local beach. Way too much fun. I hope you will take a listen as they say. Remember you can download individual songs from cdbaby or the complete album.
