Brazen in the face of adversity, Abusive Process was formed. The loss of Khrinj, the only prominent metal band on Maui, forced the hands of Abusive Process to take on the burden of bringing metal to a deserving local audience. The ache for more metal brought them together. Late nights and long days at the fabled Numskullz Studio in Maui, Hawaii gave birth to their first album, which was released in the spring of 2006. It is a raw-sounding album recorded on only 4 digital tracks. The main influence for this album was simply: aggression. The second album, Ruins of the Forgotten, released on 7-7-07, is a well-rounded and more fine tuned effort. It kicks a** in whatever genre you try to put it in. The diversity of this album displays their multi-genre influences. It scream at authority like punk, lyrically profound, technical and experimental, while maintaining its dark and aggressive metal roots. It's a must grab for anyone that wants a killer album. Abusive Process founding members are Mike Borgia (vox & drums) and Lowell Gerry (guitar & vox). Together they form the foundation for an up and coming metal movement in the Pacific Southwest.
